Finding 1: 2,700 impressions from page 8, reported volume zero
Our site earns impressions for a family of AI-visibility queries. Search Console records every time Google actually showed our pages for these phrases since early May. Keyword Planner reports the same phrases like this:
| Query | Times Google showed us | Our avg position | Tool-reported volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| chatgpt visibility tracking | 969 | 82 | 0 |
| chatgpt visibility | 779 | 76 | under 50 |
| gemini visibility tracker | 708 | 70 | 0 |
| chatgpt visibility checker | 280 | 59 | 0 |
The position column is what makes these numbers loud. Our pages sit at positions 59 to 82 for these queries, page six to page nine of results, and Google still showed them 2,700 times. An impression at position 82 only happens when someone pages that deep, so the queries' true search volumes are far larger than what a single page-eight site can witness. Keyword Planner reports them as zero.
These are not exotic phrasings. They are the natural words a marketer types after asking "does ChatGPT mention my brand?" Every keyword tool built on Keyword Planner data reports the opportunity as nonexistent.
