Google Search Console integration

Meev connects to Google Search Console to help website owners analyze search performance and improve visibility. It reads your search signals (clicks, impressions, queries, and average position) to improve your pages' SEO, and submits your sitemap so new content gets indexed faster. Disconnect anytime in Settings.

What Meev does with your permission

When you connect Google Search Console, Meev requests a single permission (“View and manage Search Console data for your verified sites”) and uses it only for the following:

Reading your search performance

  • Read your Search Console performance data (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average position) and display it in your Meev dashboard.
  • View your list of verified Search Console properties so Meev can link the right property to each domain in your account.
  • Monitor how the content you publish through Meev performs in Google Search over time.

Submitting sitemaps (why Meev needs write access)

  • Submit your XML sitemap to Google on your behalf, so newly published content gets discovered and indexed faster.
  • Update an already-submitted sitemap when your site's content changes.

Meev uses write access only to submit or update sitemaps, an action initiated by connecting your account. It never changes your site, your Search Console settings, or your verified properties.

Your data, your control

Meev only accesses Search Console data for the websites you authorize. We do not sell your Google data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide these features. You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations, which revokes Meev's access directly with Google. Meev's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Frequently asked questions

What Google data does Meev access?

Only Search Console data for the properties you authorize: search performance metrics (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, CTR, average position), your list of verified properties, and sitemap status. Meev never accesses your email, files, contacts, or any other Google data.

Why does Meev need write access instead of read-only?

Meev uses write access for exactly one purpose: submitting and updating your XML sitemap so new content gets indexed faster. Sitemap submission is a write operation in the Search Console API, so read-only access would not allow it. Meev never modifies your site, settings, or verified properties.

Can I disconnect Google Search Console from Meev?

Yes, at any time. Go to Settings → Integrations in your Meev dashboard and click Disconnect. This revokes Meev's access token directly with Google and removes the connection. You can also revoke access from your Google Account's third-party access settings.

Does Meev sell or share my Google data?

No. Meev only uses Search Console data to provide the features described on this page, never sells it, never uses it for advertising, and never shares it with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate these features. Our use complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
